Dr PK’s Top Wedding Preparation Tips!

While it may be months before your wedding, Dr PK explains why now is the right time to start getting your skin wedding ready.

For our patients at Kaya Cosmedica, we provide tailored treatment regimes that are perfect for your needs and timeline.

Let us do the planning for you! As preparing for a wedding can be stressful, we want to ensure you feel your best on your big day and we want to strive to make it as easy for you as can be! Here are some tips for preparing for these treatments:

It's important to:

  1. Start Early - Whether your wedding is months away or just around the corner, it's crucial to begin a well-thought-out treatment plan as soon as possible.
  2. Consult with a Professional - Dr PK and her team have worked with many brides to get them wedding-ready - Book now for a customised consultation and treatment plan.
  3. Consider your timeline - Depending on how much time you have before your wedding, plan your treatments accordingly - see the suggested timeline below
  4. Don’t forget about skincare - In addition to treatments, maintain a consistent skincare routine.  A customised skincare plan may include an antioxidant serum with Vitamin C, Vitamin A or AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids)
  5. Be realistic - skin improvements take time

Dr PK has put together an example wedding prep timeline below.

6 months out:

If this is your first time considering aesthetic treatments, I recommend starting with a consultation for a facial assessment to identify your specific needs. Treatments can take a while to take effect, and it is important to trial these treatments 4-6 months before your wedding to fine-tune the results.

4 months out:

I would optimise your skincare routine and start treating any skin issues like breakouts/acne, pigmentation, and redness. Lasers and peels require a series of treatments to see results. I would include skin treatments to improve skin hydration and luminosity at least three months before your wedding.

4-6 weeks prior:

Review your treatments and adjust as needed, to ensure everything is on track for your desired results.

2 weeks prior:

Consider treatments like Medifacial and LED therapy, which can be repeated a few days prior to the wedding to give your skin an extra boost.
